If you are having problems signing up for the course, please be aware that all bookings are through our sister gym, Doylestown Rock Gym. Downingtown Rock Gym members will need to create a new account and sign another Participant Agreement.

Where do you climb outside?
Pennsylvania has a lot of great of climbing areas. The areas we use for programs and guiding include High Rocks, Birsdsboro, and Emmaus to name a few.
Do I need my own climbing gear?
No, we provide everything you need for the climbing portion. You may bring your own gear but we will check it before use. You will receive a packing list for personal items a few days prior to the outing.
Is climbing outside harder than climbing inside?
Not necessarily. Some climbers find it easier and some find it harder. the mechanics of climbing and belaying are similar. However, it is definitely different and you will need to learn to move without colored rocks on a more natural surface.
What happens if the weather is bad?
You will be contacted a few days before your trip if weather is looking questionable. Your guide will help develop the best course of action and communication about whether the outing should proceed.
How do I set up and outdoor climbing trip?
We offer both open enrollment courses as well as private and group guiding. If a posted date doesn't work for you then please contact us for private options.
